A CARVED GREY AGATE CANE HANDLE AS A RABBIT, WITH SILVER-GILT AND GUILLOCHÉ ENAMEL MOUNT, FABERGÉ STYLE, LATE 19TH–EARLY 20TH CENTURY - Superbly carved from translucent grey agate, the handle formed as the head of a rabbit with long swept-back ears, the finely textured fur rendered in naturalistic detail. The eyes are inset with two cabochon rubies, lending a lifelike and jewel-like quality. The silver-gilt mount is decorated with a vivid lemon-yellow guilloché enamel panel, framed by beaded and chased borders. This luxurious combination of hardstone, precious stones, and guilloché enamel is emblematic of the House of Fabergé’s style, celebrated for whimsical objets d'art created for the Russian Imperial court and aristocratic clientele.
