A 19TH-CENTURY COLD PAINTED AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE COACH CARRIAGE BY FRANZ BERGMAN - Late 19th-century cold-painted Austrian bronze Coach Carriage by Franz Xaver Bergman (1861-1936). The miniature figure is executed with great detail and with a naturalistic pair of horses, and is placed in a larger marble base, giving a figurative sense of location to the apparent moving vehicle. Polychrome, cold-painted. Seemingly signed with a monogram beneath the car. Bergman is perhaps the most famous name associated with the production of Viennese cold-painted bronzes.
