A LOUIS XV GILT BRONZE INKWELL WITH NAUTICAL MYTHOLOGICAL FIGURES, FRANCE 19TH C. - Impressive and monumental inkwell in a Louis XV style, gilt bronze. Three seashell bowls resting on a rich, floral and scroll base. Central figures representing the God of Rivers and Springs in a romantic exchange with a female undine. The inkwell insert is a porcelain piece covered by a gilt bronze lid. A Pair of handles on opposite sides of the inkwell. Louis Quinze piece dated as very early 19th century, France.
