A PERSIAN PAINTING ON SILK, PERSIA, LIKELY ISFAHAN SCHOOL, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Persia, likely Isfahan school, late 19th–early 20th century. Finely executed painting on silk depicting a crowded courtly scene centered on a seated noble figure attended by courtiers and musicians, rendered in the traditional Persian miniature style. The composition is densely populated with figures wearing turbans and richly patterned robes, arranged in hierarchical tiers within an architectural setting accented by cypress trees and flowering foliage. The palette is vibrant, dominated by lapis blues, emerald greens, terracotta reds, and gold accents, with meticulous detailing throughout the costumes, faces, and decorative surfaces.
