AN ACRYLIC ON CANVAS PAINTING OF SIBERIAN TIGERS, SIGNED, LATE 20TH CENTURY - A finely detailed acrylic painting on canvas depicting two Siberian tigers resting on a rocky ledge within a dramatic mountainous landscape. The composition focuses on the alert, forward-facing tiger in the foreground rendered with careful attention to musculature coat pattern and facial expression, while a second tiger is partially concealed behind, creating depth and narrative tension. The artist employs layered brushwork and a cool restrained palette of grays, browns and muted earth tones contrasted by the warm ochres and blacks of the tigers’ markings. The treatment of the rock formations and atmospheric background suggests a naturalistic approach influenced by wildlife realism and contemporary animal painting traditions. Signed to the lower right.
