A PATRIOTIC EMBROIDERED SILK PANEL WITH AMERICAN EAGLE AND FLAG, 19 CENTURY - Embroidered textile panel depicting a heraldic American eagle with outstretched wings surmounted above a horizontally displayed United States flag and flanked by stylized olive branches. The central motif is executed in dense, hand-made embroidery on silk, with metallic-toned threads and colored silk or rayon floss. The eagle and ornamental elements are embroidered onto a light-toned silk ground characterized by a smooth, lustrous weave and uniform industrial finish consistent with the 19th-century production. The flag is rendered in red, white and blue thread with evenly spaced white stars on a dark blue canton, emphasizing symbolic representation rather than strict flag specification. The panel is mounted within a later or contemporary, molded wooden frame and backed with joined wooden boards, secured with wire for wall display, indicating a decorative or institutional installation rather than a ceremonial textile construction.
