AN ART NOUVEAU CASED AND TRAILED GLASS VASE, CENTRAL EUROPEAN, CIRCA 1895–1910 - Of elongated baluster form, executed in ruby red cased glass with applied green trailing, the surface enriched with free-flowing whiplash vegetal motifs characteristic of the Jugendstil period, the decoration created through hand-applied trails and casing rather than engraving or acid etching. The vase is free-blown, with subtle asymmetries and irregular internal casing thickness consistent with turn-of-the-century Central European workshop production. The base with a polished rim and unmarked underside, showing no factory signature, in keeping with Bohemian Art Nouveau glass of the period. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
