A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL PENCIL CASE, MOSCOW, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Executed in silver with gilt interior, the exterior is finely decorated in polychrome cloisonné enamel with scrolling foliate motifs in turquoise, cobalt blue, pale blue, white, green, and red, framed by twisted wire and beaded borders. It is hallmarked with a kokoshnik and Russian maker's marks/initials. The upper end is fitted with an integrated suspension loop, the lower end with a removable cap. The case retains its original wooden pencil insert, printed ”JOHANN FABERGE”. The lower silver rim struck with Russian hallmarks ”HC” and a kokoshnik. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
