A RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER AND NIELLO HINGED LIDDED BOX, 1870 - A Russian parcel-gilt silver cigarette case decorated across its entire surface with a nielloed weave-like pattern, the op also having an eight-petaled silver floret. The interior is accessed with the press of a button at the seam and is affixed with all four original loops for attaching cloth retaining bands, as well as the stamped hallmarks.
