METAL) SNUFF BOX OR CIGARETTE CASE, FRENCH, CIRCA 1925–1935 - Rectangular hinged snuff box or small cigarette case of silver-colored metal alloy, the exterior finely engine-turned with alternating cross-hatched panels and radiating sunburst engraving characteristic of the Art Deco period. The lid is fitted with a raised thumbpiece set with a pavé cluster of clear paste stones, flanked by gilt metal accents. Interior plain, showing light wear. Marked inside SYPTOR and V.C.A. METAL.
