AN AUSTRIAN SILVER AND ENAMEL CIGARETTE CASE, VIENNA, CIRCA 1925 - Rectangular silver cigarette case with canted corners, the cover decorated with stylized geometric motifs executed in bright blue enamel, incorporating zigzag lines, star forms, chevrons, and flowing wave patterns characteristic of Viennese Art Deco design. The border is highlighted with a continuous blue enamel band framing the central composition. The reverse is plain silver. The interior retains a gilt wash and fitted clasp. Marked internally with Austrian hallmarks including Diana head assay mark, fineness “900”, and maker’s stamp, confirming Viennese origin. A refined and graphic example of interwar Austrian decorative silverwork influenced by Secessionist and early modernist aesthetics. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
