A LOT OF TWO INDIAN OPENWORK SILVER CANDLESTICKS AND AN INCENSE BURNER, 19TH CENTURY - Comprising a pair of tall openwork silver candlesticks and a matching pierced silver incense burner with domed cover. Each candlestick raised on a circular stepped base and baluster stem chased with dense scrolling foliage and floral motifs, the drip pans and capitals similarly decorated, the interiors retaining hand-hammered finishing marks. The incense burner of compressed globular form with extensive pierced vegetal ornament throughout, the domed cover surmounted by a finial knob and enclosing a removable interior compartment, designed to diffuse incense through the openwork body. The group executed in heavy gauge silver with warm natural patina consistent with age and use. The underside of the incense burner stamped ”SILVER” and ”925”. Weight: 42.8 oz., (1.212 g.)
