NEOCLASSICAL BRONZE OF SEATED LADY ON THE CHAIR - A finely cast and dark-patinated Neoclassical bronze depicting a seated classical maiden in flowing drapery, resting gracefully on a stylized Greek klismos-type chair. The figure is modeled with exceptional attention to anatomical detail and naturalistic folds of the garment, her head gently inclined as she holds a spindle in her right hand a traditional attribute associated with domestic virtue and classical femininity. The base is rectangular with a Greek-key border in low relief, complementing the classical theme of the composition. The bronze reflects high-quality academic foundry work typical of late 19th-century French ateliers, influenced by the classical revival tastes of the period.
