A FRANZ XAVIER BERGMANN (1861-1936) ORIENTALIST VIENNA BRONZE, EARLY 20TH CEN. - A finely sculpted and detailed orientalist bronze of an Arab man riding atop a camel, produced by the foundry of Franz Xavier Bergmann and bearing his 'Nam Greb' mark on the base. The 'Nam Greb' mark is Bergmann spelled backwards and was used to make his name sound more exotic for his orientalist skewed audience. Vienna, Austria, Early 20th Century.
