A THIRD REICH ERA GERMAN POLICE (SCHUTZPOLIZEI) SHAKO - A Third Reich German Police (Schutzpolizei) Shako, used between 1936 and 1945. Polizei Tschako (Police Shako), branch: German Schutzpolizei (Municipal police force), period: Nazi Germany, pre-1945. Construction: Fiber body covered in green wool felt, with black patent leather visor and crown, the front badge is a large Weimar-style eagle with open wings, oak leaf wreath around mobile swastika. The badge is aluminum (for officers) or nickel-plated (for NCOs/EMs). The cockade is the National tricolor cockade above the eagle (black/white/red center) on a silver bullion field, indicating officer or senior NCO rank. The aluminum eagle design is consistent with mid-to-late war Schutzpolizei issue. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
