A SILVER AND NIELLO-MOUNTED CAUCASIAN RIDING CROP, 19TH CENTURY - A riding crop in characteristic Caucasian style, comprising a wooden shaft mounted on both ends with silver decorated with intricate floral and geometric motifs. The pommel similarly decorated, as is the spiraling silver band wrapping around the length of the shaft. The whip portion of the crop made from corded raw hide or leather. Caucasus, 19th century.
