A SILVER INLAID CAUCASIAN RIDING CROP WITH WOOD HANDLE, 19TH CENTURY - A Caucasian riding crop comprising a handle of wood decorated with silver inlay in intricate linework, creating concentric, diamond-like patterns containing geometric symbols at their center. The tip of the wooden shaft is mounted with white-metal capped with horn, the pommel likewise capped with horn but also with a bone and brass trim. The crop is made from raw hide or leather, as is the wrist loop. Caucasus, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Condition: Some vertical cracks in wood near tip of wooden handle. A small crack to top of horn cap at tip of handle. Some minor raising on silver inlay in places but almost all inlay still present.
