AN ITALIAN ROMANTIC DAGGER WITH SCULPTURAL GRIP, 19TH CEN. - An Italian romantic dagger with a sculptural hilt depicting a nude woman clutching a galloping horse as she holds a dagger behind her back, along with a moustached man holding up the quillons of the guard, appearing as a streamer reading 'E. Turanniu'. The blade is delicately engraved with foliate scrollwork, and is kept within a scabbard which has been decorated with foliate and geometric patterning in relief. Italy, 19th century.
