A SPANISH TOLEDO ROMANTIC DAGGER WITH FRENCH-SCOTTISH FIGURAL HILT, 1880 - A Spanish romantic dagger with a figural hilt depicting a Scottish man in a kilt, sporran, and other symbols of Scottish identity, leaning against a shield emblazoned with the three fleur-de-lys of the French Royal Coat of Arms. The blade is marked 'FABCA DE TOLEDO ANO DE 1880' and is engraved with scrollwork patterning including a small angel on each side, near to the forte. The blade is kept within a brown leather scabbard with plain nickel fittings. Toledo, Spain, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Condition: Dagger is in very good condition, with only tiny spots of pitting to the blade in places. Scabbard leather slightly dry, metal fixtures with some minor pitting, all tight and functional.
