A CAUCASIAN QAMA DAGGER AND UTILITY KNIFE WITH GOLD INLAY, 19 C. - Dagger (qama or kindjal) complete with scabbard and skinning knife. The wide blade is double-edged with a single groove on each side. It is decorated with gold inlay forming a floral motif and Arabic inscriptions. The handle scales are made of carved horn dyed green. The iron fittings and handle studs are decorated with gold inlay. The scabbard is made of two wooden scales covered in black stitched leather. Caucasus, 1830-1850.
