A MUGHAL INDIAN KHANJAR WITH CARVED STONE HORSE HEAD GRIP - An Indo-Persian khanjar with a beautiful red stone grip carved in the shape of a horse's head with floral motifs along the side and base. This piece was likely produced toward the end of the Mughal Empire, or immediately following its fall to the British in the second half of the 1800s. The blade is double-edged and shaped with the gentle recurve characteristic of Indian khanjars. India, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
