A KUZNETSOV FAIENCE FIGURAL GROUP OF A PEASANT COUPLE, RUSSIA, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY - The figures are depicted in the traditional Russian peasant costume and set on a molded oval base with naturalistic grass and a tree stump. The male figure wears a brown coat over a green tunic with blue trousers, black boots, and a cap, while the female figure is dressed in a headscarf, green blouse, red apron, and purple skirt, her hand raised thoughtfully to her face. The group is decorated in vivid polychrome glazes typical of Kuznetsov faience production intended for the domestic market. The verso bears a Kuznetsov factory mark in Cyrillic, together with impressed and painted numerals. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
