A HEUBACH HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN VASE, LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY - Of baluster form with short flared rim, finely hand-painted in soft impressionist tones depicting a rural evening landscape: one side with a cottage and trees by a stream beneath a rose-tinted sunset sky, the reverse with an open field and scattered birds in flight. The glaze is softly shaded in lilac, pink, and green hues, giving an atmospheric twilight effect. Underside with the green underglaze Heubach Sonneberg mark (a star within a triangular shield), impressed form number 5277, and painted decorator’s cipher. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
