A VICTORIAN ROYAL WORCESTER ENGLISH PAINTED PORCELAIN EPERGNE, 1894 - An epergne (centerpiece) created by Royal Worcester, a prestigious porcelain factory active in England from 1751. The piece is comprised of a bowl delicately painted throughout with floral motifs surrounded by gilt trim, sat atop a stem which is hung with a group of three rhytons, similarly decorated to the bowl, the whole object supported by a wide, circular base. The underside is marked with the Royal Worcester stamp, with two dots to the left of the crown and one dot to the right, indicating manufacture in the year 1894. The piece also has a rectangular stamp containing the code 'RdNo227397' under which is the number 1713. England, United Kingdom, 1894. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
