A LOT OF TWO JAPANESE SATSUMA POTTERY ITEMS, MEIJI PERIOD - A LOT OF TWO JAPANESE SATSUMA POTTERY ITEMS. Japan, Meiji period (late 19th–early 20th century). Comprising: a cylindrical Satsuma jar, finely decorated with continuous figural panels of sages and attendants in gilt and polychrome enamels against a crackled ivory ground, bordered with stylized floral and geometric motifs. A small tripod-covered box, decorated with colorful enamel flowers against a black ground, with gilt lid and tripod supports, in the manner of Satsuma export wares.
