A FRANZ XAVIER BERGMANN COLD PAINTED VIENNA BRONZE, INDIAN BOY RIDING ELEPHANT, AUSTRIA - A finely cast and cold-painted Vienna bronze by the famous Austrian workshop of Franz Xavier Bergmann (1861-1936), depicting a young Indian boy riding atop the head of a elephant whose trunk is stretched dramatically toward the sky as it trumpets. The piece is marked with the typical 'B' in an urn used on most of Bergmann's works. Vienna, Austria, early 20th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
