A COLD-PAINTED FRENCH BRONZE, ARAB MUSICIAN ON HORSEBACK, ARTHUR WAAGEN (1833-1898) - A cold-painted bronze by the Prussian-French sculptor Arthur Waagen (1833-1898) depicting an Arab man sat atop his pony as he plays his flute, his pet monkey standing on his leg and grasping the drum at his lap. The piece is stood atop a base made to appear as a traditional North African table on the sides, but topped with wooden planks. France, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
