A MINIATURE SILVER FILIGREE AND ENAMEL GONDOLA, 19TH CENTURY - An intricate silver filigree gondola in baroque style, decorated with colorful inset enamel, glass beads, coral beads, and pearls. The front of the ship with a winged figurehead and the rear of the ship with a sculptural man holding a lantern. The boat is seen floating atop a chased silver waterscape and is sitting alongside a decorative piling jutting out of the water. Please make all inquiries before bidding. Dimensions: L: 9 1/2 in., (24.1 cm.) Condition: Very good. Enamel well preserved, with only one small spot of loss to one corner of roof. One small pearl lacking from left side of boat. Otherwise all cabochons, pearls, and enamel are present. Figure to rear of boat appears to have once held some object, possibly a lantern.
