A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE LIDDED PORCELAIN BOTTLE VASE, 20TH CENTURY - A Chinese lidded porcelain bottle vase of slender ovoid form with a narrow neck and small flared mouth, decorated in famille rose enamels on a pale celadon-toned ground. The exterior is painted with a continuous figural scene depicting courtly figures and attendants in a garden setting, accompanied by flowering lotus and ornamental elements. The figures are rendered in soft polychrome tones with fine outlining, characteristic of later decorative wares inspired by Qing dynasty prototypes. China, 20th century.
