A PERSIAN FRAMED BRASS FIGURAL SCENE OF A MAN FIGHTING A MYTHICAL BEAST, 20TH CEN. - A Persian revival decorative panel rendered in brass against a black ground, depicting a stylized royal figure in profile, grasping a mythological creature with leonine and avian attributes. The composition draws directly from imperial imagery of the Achaemenid Persian Empire, particularly reliefs from Persepolis, here interpreted in a flattened, graphic manner characteristic of 20th-century decorative production. The figure is shown wearing a crenellated crown and holding a staff or scepter, while the creature rears in a heraldic stance. The panel is presented within a molded gilt frame.
