A LIMOGES PORCELAIN HAND-PAINTED PLAQUE DEPICTING A KNIGHT AFTER REMBRANDT, 19 CEN. - Limoges enamel plaque depicts the Man With The Golden Helmet, 1650, based on Rembrandt's painting. The figure is seated and is turned slightly to the right. The knight is wearing a dark coat with reddish sleeves. On his head, there is a richly gilt helmet with ear flaps and a plume of short red feathers. Executed by Camille Faure (1874 - 1956). The artist's signature is at the lower right, Limoges, France.
