A PERSIAN LACQUERED PEN BOX (QALAMDAN), QAJAR PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY - Of rectangular form with a sliding lid, decorated in polychrome lacquer with a hunting scene depicting mounted noble figures in a landscape, the sides painted with floral sprays on a dark ground, the interior in red lacquer. The underside retaining an early handwritten collection label reading ”trois rois Sassanids, Bazar Khan 1911, 20 lbs.” Persia, Qajar period, circa 1850–1880. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
