A RUSSIAN SILVER GIFT CUP WITH A RURAL LANDSCAPE, VASILY PULYATKIN WORKSHOP, MOSCOW, 1890S - A cylindrical tea glass holder tapering toward the base, featuring a rocaille handle and decorated on the side with an applied medallion depicting an eagle holding a shield. The shield is engraved with monogram initials. The body is engraved with the inscription “To My Beloved” and a small landscape depicting rural South Russian huts and a wattle fence. The coaster’s handle, lower rim, and base bear hallmarks: a fineness mark of 84 with a head in a kokoshnik facing right within an oval shield, and the maker’s mark in Cyrillic, “VIP” [Vasily Ivanovich Pulyatkin].
