A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER, WORKSHOP OF GERASIM AFANASYEV, EARLY 20TH CEN. - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a rectangular handle, featuring a central engraved medallion with floral decoration and the inscription “PEYTE NA ZDOROVYE” (Drink to Your Health) around the perimeter, stylized in Old Slavonic script. The upper rim, the handle, and the base bear the following hallmarks: the assay mark “84” with a head in a kokoshnik facing left within an oval shield bearing the initials IL (Moscow District Assay Office, District Director Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin, appointed in 1899) and the maker’s mark in Cyrillic “GA” [Gerasim Afanasyev].
