A RUSSIAN SILVER TEAGLASS HOLDER, IMITATING CUFF WITH BUTTONS, 19TH CEN. - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a smooth handle shaped like a shirt cuff or the buttoned placket of a vest, decorated with a geometric pattern around the rim that imitates embroidery, and three “buttons.” A monogram is engraved in the center. The handle, the lower rim, and the base bear the following hallmarks: the assayer’s mark “И.К 1877,” the assay mark “84,” St. George the Victorious – [Moscow city hallmark], and the maker’s mark in Cyrillic “АА.” Weight: 4.4 oz., (124.7 g) Dimensions: H: 3 3/4 in., (9.5 cm.)
