A RUSSIAN SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER, MOSCOW, 1890 - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a rounded handle, featuring a central ornamental engraved medallion in the Neo-Russian style and the inscription “DRINK TO YOUR HEALTH” around the perimeter, stylized in Old Slavonic script. The upper and lower rims are decorated with a simple guilloché border and a beaded border. On the body below the upper rim and on the base are the following hallmarks: an assay mark of a head in a kokoshnik facing left, the assay master’s mark “L.O. 1890” [assay master Oleks Lev Fedorovich], the assay mark “84,” St. George the Victorious – [Moscow city hallmark 1891–1896], and the master’s mark in Cyrillic “УП.” Weight: 3.8 oz., (107.7 g) Dimensions: H: 3 3/4 in., (9.5 cm.)
