A RUSSIAN COMMEMORATIVE SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER, EARLY 20TH CEN. - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a smooth, rounded handle, decorated with engraved openwork; on one side, there is an engraved cartouche bearing the inscription “In memory of //S.I. Vasilyev //from I.M.S. //1924/IX 04.” The lower rim is engraved with the stylized initials “M.B.” The body of the holder, the handle, and the base bear the following hallmarks: a barely legible St. George the Victorious, a fineness mark of 84, and a head in a kokoshnik facing left within an oval shield; the maker’s mark “ES”; and several other barely legible hallmarks.
