A RUSSIAN ART NOUVEAU SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER, PRIVATE WORKSHOP, MOSCOW, LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY - A cylindrical tea glass holder on a ring-shaped base, featuring a tall, curved handle with an intricate silhouette. The upper band is openwork, with a cut-out pattern of intertwining oval and stylized floral motifs. The handle and upper rim are decorated with relief cast ornamentation featuring flowing wavy lines, scrolls, and floral elements characteristic of early Art Nouveau. Silver, openwork, engraving, repoussé, gilding. The handle and base bear the hallmark 84 with a head in a kokoshnik facing right with a delta. Weight: 5.3 oz., (150 g.)
