A RUSSIAN COMMEMORATIVE SILVER TEAGLASS HOLDER IN NEO-RUSSIAN STYLE, VASILY IVANOV WORKSHOP, 1886 - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a rectangular handle, resting on a wide ring-shaped base, decorated with a geometric pattern depicting Russian towels and a central medallion in the form of a window framed by carved moldings. A monogram is engraved in the medallion, with the inscription “On the Name Day” on the left side. The upper rim, the inside of the handle, and the bottom bear hallmarks: the maker’s mark in Cyrillic “ВИ” in a rectangular shield [Vasily Ivanov, Moscow], the assayer’s mark “В.П 1886” [Unknown assayer, Moscow], hallmark 84, and St. George the Victorious in an octagonal shield.
