A RUSSIAN SILVER TEAGLASS HOLDER, WORKSHOP OF VASILY PULYATKIN, MOSCOW, RUSSIA, 1890S - A glass holder resting on a ring base, featuring a guilloché border, an intricate openwork upper rim, and a shaped handle. It is adorned with elegant, engraved floral-geometric ornamentation in the Art Nouveau style. On one side features a dedicatory inscription and date: ”To Dear Mitya // on our 11th Wedding Anniversary // from his Wife and Daughter // 19 1/VII 30.” Hallmarks on the base of the handle and on the underside: a maker's mark in Cyrillic—”P.B.” [Pyotr Baskakov]; and an assay mark ”84”, a female head in a kokoshnik facing right, along with the initials of the assay master within an oval cartouche.
