A RUSSIAN SILVER TEAGLASS HOLDER IN THE ART NOUVEAU STYLE, LATE 19TH TO EARLY 20TH CENTURY - Of cylindrical form on a ring foot, fitted with a relief twisted handle with vegetal ornament. The body with an asymmetrical pierced upper rim, decorated on one side with a vegetal and geometric composition in the Art Nouveau taste. The combination of openwork and flowing ornament reflects the stylistic transition of the period. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard with kokoshnik facing right in an oval cartouche, and maker’s mark ”ИП” in Cyrillic in a rectangular punch, struck to the base of the handle, interior, and underside.
