A RUSSIAN SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER WITH RELIEF DECORATION, 1896 - A Russian silver podstakannik (tea glass holder) decorated with intricate, swirling foliate patterns in relief. A curved handle with similar foliate motifs is affixed to the body. A simple glass cup with etched bands sits inside the holder. Hallmarks: Cyrillic 'L.O' over 1896 date mark, 84 silver proof, St George Moscow mark, 'CK' mark. Weight: 5.4 oz., (154 g., ) Dimensions: H: 4 1/4 in., (10.8 cm.)
