A RUSSIAN SILVER TEAGLASS HOLDER WITH VILLAGE SCENE, IVAN BUTUZOV WORKSHOP, 19TH / 20TH CEN. - A cylindrical tea glass holder with a rectangular handle, resting on a wide ring-shaped base, is decorated on one side with a floral pattern forming a central medallion depicting a Russian village. The upper and lower rims are adorned with bead-like decorations. The upper rim, the base of the handle, and the bottom bear hallmarks: the maker’s mark in Cyrillic “IB” in a rectangular shield [Ivan Butuzov, Moscow], and the fineness mark 84 with a head in a kokoshnik facing left in an oval shield.
