A RUSSIAN SILVER SHOT CUP WITH CITYSCAPE DECORATION, PRIVATE WORKSHOP, RUSSIA, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Of slightly tapering conical form, the body engraved with a combination of geometric ornament, floral motifs, and medallions depicting stylized city views. The decorative program reflects a late Imperial interest in architectural and landscape subjects rendered in a refined engraved manner. Hallmarks: Indistinct 84 silver standard with kokoshnik facing right, and maker’s mark ”СТ” in Cyrillic in a rectangular cartouche. Weight: 0.8 oz. (24 g.) Dimensions: H: 2 in., (5.1 cm.)
