A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER LIDDED SUGAR BOWL, C. 1885 - A Russian silver sugar bowl from the end of the 19th century, delicately engraved with floral imagery against a stippled background. The belly of the bowl affixed with two looped handles, the lid topped with a lathe-turned finial, and the inside with a smooth, parcel-gilt finish. Hallmarks: 84 silver proof, St George Moscow mark, Assayer's mark 'AP' over 1885 date mark, maker's mark 'NEZ' Weight: 8.7 oz., (246 g.). Dimensions: H: 4 3/4 in., (12.1 cm.)
