RUSSIAN PARCEL GILT SILVER CREAMER, MOSCOW, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Of rounded baluster form on a short circular foot, with a flaring rim, pronounced spout, and a high looping handle. The body is engraved with a shaped cartouche framed by scrolling foliate ornament, with additional floral sprays extending to either side, executed in a refined late Imperial hand. The interior retains a gilt wash. The underside bears an engraved presentation date ”1885 г.” Hallmarks: Cyrillic maker’s mark ”ЕС”, 84 silver standard with kokoshnik assay mark. Weight: 2.5 oz., (72 g.) Dimensions: H: 3 1/2 in., (8.9 cm.) Conditions: Good overall condition with light surface wear, consistent with age and use. The interior gilding shows expected wear.
