A RUSSIAN SILVER CREAMER, ANDREY VEKMAN WORKSHOP, MOSCOW, 1864 - A pear-shaped/bulbous creamer with a wavy rim and an S-shaped handle, without decoration. The handle, lower rim, and base bear the following marks: the assayer’s mark “V.S. 1864,” the assay mark “84” in a hexagonal shield, and St. George the Victorious; the maker’s mark “A.W.W.” in Latin letters in a rectangular shield [Andrey Vekman, Moscow] Moscow, Russia, 1880s. Andrey Vilgelmovich Vekman, master silversmith, Moscow, active 1870–1880. (See Postnikova-Loseva, 3023). Weight: 3.6 oz., (100 g.) Dimensions: H: 3 in., (7.6 cm.)
