A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER CREAMER WITH FLORAL DECORATION, PRIVATE WORKSHOP, MOSCOW, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Of pear-shaped form with an S shaped handle, the body engraved on one side with a floral composition forming a decorative medallion. The interior is gilt, providing a warm contrast to the polished exterior. The form and ornament reflect late Imperial Moscow silverwork with restrained elegance. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard and St. George city mark in a single cartouche, together with maker’s mark ”ИСХ” in Cyrillic in a rectangular punch. Weight: 2.3 oz. (72 g.)
