PETERSBURG, 1849 - Of lobed baluster form, raised on four scrolling feet with a detachable stand, the body with a curved spout and hinged domed cover surmounted by a finial, the swing handle fitted with a turned wooden grip, the burner suspended within the stand. Hallmarks: ”САЗИКОВЪ” in Cyrillic, dated assay mark 1849, 84 standard, St. Petersburg city mark, additional indistinct marks. Weight: 94 o. (2665 g.) Dimensions: H (including handle): 17 1/2 in., (44.5 cm.) Conditions: Good condition, interior gilding well preserved with minor spots of oxidation. Minor wear and traces of use, consistent with age.
