A RUSSIAN KUSNETSOV PORCELAIN 16-PIECE TEA SET, EARLY 20TH CENTURY - Comprising a teapot with cover, a sugar bowl with cover, a creamer, a waste bowl, and twelve teacups with twelve saucers. Each piece is decorated on a rich red ground with oval reserves featuring hand-painted floral bouquets in polychrome enamels, framed by gilt borders and stylized white and gilt foliate ornament. The forms are gently rounded with elegant proportions, typical of the Kuznetsov factory production of the late Imperial and early Soviet transitional period. The undersides bear printed factory marks including the Imperial double-headed eagle and Cyrillic inscriptions ”Фабрика в Дулеве” and ”М. С. Кузнецова, ” indicating manufacture at the Dulevo factory of the Kuznetsov partnership. Dimensions: Teapot H: 6 in., (15.2 cm.)
